UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
Our uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides emergency power to a load when the main power fails. It will regulate the incoming power to acceptable parameters and will also supply a limited amount of power when there is no mains power.
UPS offers near-instantaneous protection by using attached batteries and associated electronic circuitry for lower power users. For high power users, a UPS may use diesel generators. If you have witnessed in the past flickering lights in your home or office, computer freezing up or restarting, then you may be suffering a power supply problem.
What many people do not realise is that the power provided to their home or office is at times irregular and not necessarily continuous 230volts supply. The ideal voltage supply is 230v. However, even in residential areas, this can often be over 260v, or under 200v.
Our three Phase Low Frequency Online UPS and High Frequency Outdoor UPS standby UPS senses when your voltage is not good enough, and will automatically go to battery power until normal power returns.
A UPS runtime is relatively short, lasting minutes, but typically long enough to allow time for an auxiliary power source to bring a stable source of power online or to allow the protected equipment ample time to properly shut down.
